To screen record I think they run key37 in controller mode synced to their computer and screen record computer. In controller mode everything is synced 1 to 1 ratio.

If you have a properly tuned sample from splice or something similar it is easy to find the right notes. But most people that struggle with bass don't understand the basics. Tune your sample right and tune your bass to the sample. Remove clashing frequencies from the sample.

You should make on channel rack for easy understanding

What settings do you use in Guitar Rig on the bass?

I think the L2 sounds a bit more natural. It feels like with the L2 the sounds get an encouraging, slight push, while with Maximus they get pushed by force.

Great tutorial... If I could add a little something. You could always look up the song or sample's key info online. And most samples have the key info in the download. I like to use the Melody Sauce 2 plugin to create the bass line afterwards, then add a new channel bass sound to it. Dilla's bass lines were very simple but melodic. Kev Brown and Pete Rock and even Diamond were extraordinary too.

How do you have your key 37 hook up to fl studio without the "Connect device to computer" only way to get the mpc program on my key 61 is to load up the mpc vst.

Bro I´ve been recently watching your videos, and I noticed that you use to create your beats with higher BPM, I use to create it between 80 or 95 bpm,. so my question is the higher bpm, that helps you to handle the sample, or is a technique to your drums patterns ?

Thank you for this video! I've heard several people say working in double time gives them "bounce" but you are the first I've heard discuss it any further than that. I get frustrated sometimes with Splice, because it seems like they neglected to label which loops are in double time, so you type in a BPM and half the results are just WRONG. But now at least I know how it probably got like that. Keep on!
